In 2024, Back 2 School America is embarking on a mission to transform lives through the power of learning. Our goal is bold and impactful: to ensure every child, especially those from low-income families, has access to the essential tools needed for academic success.
Over 7,000 Back 2 School kits, filled with more than 240,000 school supplies will be distributed at the daylong event. 3500 of the already-assembled kits have been given to representatives of dozens of YMCAs and community partners to disseminate to children in the Chicagoland area, ensuring that these underserved kids have the school supplies they need to begin the school year. An additional 3500 kits, built from scratch by Back 2 School America volunteers will be handed out on the day of the event.
