Scott Hershman is a third generation owner/operator of West Suburban Currency Exchanges, Inc. (WSCE), a chain of 27 currency exchanges in the suburbs of Chicago. Over the years WSCE has been an integral part of Back 2 School America. First, as a member of the Community Currency Exchange Association of Illinois, which formed the charitable foundation that would become B2SI, and also as a key contributor of donations collected during the B2SA Currency Exchange “canning” drive every summer. B2SI has become an important part of the culture of community service at WSCE. In 2018 WSCE was awarded the ACTIVA award for community service by the Financial Service Centers of America for its involvement in B2SA fundraising.
Scott is also a Member/Manager of Short Term Loans, LLC, a consumer loan company that makes Payday and Installment loans to Illinois residents online and at 8 suburban storefront locations. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Community Currency Exchange Association of Illinois and the Illinois Small Loan Association.
Growing up in Northbrook Scott attended Glenbrook South High School. He then earned a BS in Management from Arizona State University. Currently living in Vernon Hills, Scott and his wife Heather have 3 daughters.
